Floorcloth, Table Runner and Place Mat Care:
If your product is COLD when it arrives, let it come to room temperature before unrolling it in place. FLOORCLOTHS ARE FOR HARD, FLAT SURFACES. Do not use floorcloths to cover carpet. Floorcloths are water- resistant, but don't work well in damp areas such as bathrooms or basements where there is high humidity that seeps under the floorcloth. Prepare the floor where you will be laying your floorcloth by sweeping and washing it. Let the surface dry completely. You don't want any dirt particles under your floorcloth that could dent or puncture your new rug. Unroll in place and position. The larger rugs shouldn't shift. For the smaller rugs, it is highly recommended that you purchase an anti-slip, non-marring rubber backing (Do not use the waffle-type of rubber backing!).

CLEANUP IS EASY! Floorcloths can be swept or vacuumed (without a beater bar). To clean up spills, simply wipe with a damp cloth or paper towel. If you want to do a more thorough cleaning you can use a damp (not dripping) sponge or mop in a mild soap solution. Place mats and table runners are cared for in the same manner. Wipe clean with a damp rag. The non-slip backing will hold them in place on your table. Make sure there is no debris under the placemat. The place mat is not machine washer safe. Do not use as a hot pad; the place mats and table runners will melt. Store your place mats flat, do not fold them! The finish and design will crack. Your new floorcloth, place mat or table runner is very durable and made to last for years. If you notice it looking dull and want to refresh its colors you can clean it with a mild, soap-water solution, allow it to completely dry, and apply a thin coat of water based polyurethane. Let it dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours before reinstalling and walking on it. This will help bring back the original colors and repair minor scratches from furniture and bits of dirt.

NEVER FOLD your floorcloth, table runner or place mats! The polyurethane will crack! The best position for your floorcloth is flat, but if you need to store or move it, roll it LOOSELY with the finished side (design) facing out. Placing it back in the original packaging would be a good alternative for long term storage. If you roll it too tightly, it can crack and take longer for the rug to relax the next time you want to place it on your floor.
